Safari Themed First Birthday Party

I had the pleasure of planning a first birthday party for the sweetest one year old ever, Jaylen Bryce! So to give him a proper first birthday bash, we decided to go with a Safari theme for this little cutie. There were lions, and tigers and bears- OH MY!!!

We chose snacks that were suited for toddlers and preschoolers, however, you know that I had to add an Everything Sweet flare right? Right! So instead of just having goldfish crackers and pretzels, I came up with a trail mix of yummies that toddlers liked and called it "Critter Crunch". Needless to say, it was a huge hit with the kiddos!!!

Coming up with ideas and decorating for this party was such fun! Pulling in all the different types of jungle animals really made for a wild and exotic color palette. Check it out!

The spread!!

Smiling animal cupcakes!!

cotton candy cones- yummy!

Jaylen's favorite snacks! It was ALL about him!!:)

Birthday boy's personal cake that he could get all messy!

Animal masks & table cloths that kids could draw on made for lots of fun!

A Pretty Pinkalicious Birthday Party

"Pink, pink, pink! More than anything Pinkalicious loves pink, especially pink cupcakes." Victoria Kann's book Pinkalicious is nothing short of adorable! It's a story of a little girl who loved pink, especially pink cupcakes.  However, when she ate too many of them she turned pink and came down with a horrible case of pinkititis!  This book is a perfect fit for any little girl who loves PINK! So to honor the pink princess why not throw her a perfectly pinkatastic Pinkalicious Birthday party inspired by the book itself? We did just that!  We decided to do it up pink style for our princess' 3rd birthday. Can you guess what color the party theme was? Pink cupcakes, pink balloons, pink cookies, pink candy, pink food, pink drink, OH MY! Check it out!
The inspiration!

The invitation!

Pink polka dot cookies from Cookie Girl.

The pink food, and of course we had to include the green foods so we wouldn't all turn pink. :)

Notice the pink chocolate chip cookies courtesy of our fabulous friend Kari Bennett! And they were super yummy!!!

The Princess and the Frog Birthday Party Theme

My daughter and I were so excited for The Princess and the Frog movie to come out!  In fact we watched the previews, with great anticipation, months before the actual movie premiered. So of course when she turned four this year, it was no question what kind of birthday party she wanted. The Princess and the Frog party theme was her first choice.

Now, although I love the movie and have watched it over and over countless times with my daughter, I am not a huge fan of character themed parties. So I had to put an everything sweet flair and spin on it to make it more personalized for my daughter, making her the princess that she is. It turned out great and was so much fun!!  Here are a few pictures and ideas we used to create the perfect  royal ball for Princess Jaia's  4th birthday party based on The Princess and the Frog.
